During rentals, we collect transaction data, messages between users, and photos documenting item condition at pickup and return.

We use your information to provide and improve our services, process transactions, facilitate communication between borrowers and lenders, verify identities, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, send important account notifications, and comply with legal obligations. We may also use aggregated, de-identified data for analytics and product improvement.
Information Sharing
We share necessary information between borrowers and lenders to facilitate rentals (such as names and pickup locations after a booking is confirmed). We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with payment processors, identity verification services, and legal authorities when required by law or to protect our community.
Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data in transit and at rest. Payment information is processed by our certified payment processor — we never store your full card details. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only. Despite our efforts, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, subject to records Borrow must retain for fraud prevention, transactions, disputes, safety, tax, or other legal obligations. Eligible deletion requests enter a seven-day security hold and are rechecked for unreturned items and unresolved financial obligations before finalization. You can update your profile details in the app at any time and may opt out of marketing communications.
